MySpeller privacy

MySpeller is made by the MyTalker team and shares its account system. This page covers what is specific to MySpeller; the MyTalker privacy policy applies to shared account features.

Spelling practice data

Without an account, all progress (levels, words completed, streaks, custom words) stays on your device and never leaves it. With an account, the app syncs which words were spelled, the level, and whether they were spelled without help, so caregivers you approve can see progress. We never store what anyone says or types outside the spelling game.

Your words and photos

Custom words and photos you add are private to your account. A photo is only used as the picture for a matching word in your own app and for caregivers you have linked. We do not use your photos or words to train anything or share them with anyone.

Reward clips and YouTube

Reward videos and sounds you upload are private to your account. If you link a YouTube video as a reward, it plays through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com); YouTube's own terms and privacy policy apply to that playback.

Children

MySpeller is designed for learners, including children, under a parent or guardian's account. We do not show ads, we do not sell data, and caregiver access requires an explicit invitation from the account owner. A parent or guardian can delete practice history anytime from the care console.

Analytics

We collect content-free usage counts (for example, "a word was completed at level 3") to improve the product. These are not tied to your identity and contain no words, photos, or audio.
